Aysan has performed Off-Broadway in: The Black Eyed (New York Theater Workshop); Target Margin's Faust, Parts 1 and 2 (Classic Stage Company); Red Bull's Pericles (Culture Project); and The Acting Company's Turn of the Screw, Murder By Poe, Richard III, and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Theater Row). Other work in NYC includes: Hater (Ohio Theater- Ice Factory Festival); The Civilians' Paris Commune (NYSF/The Public Lab); Twelfth Night (The Queen's Company); The Civilians' Let me Ascertain You (Joe's Pub); LightBox's Milk-n-Honey (3LeggedDog); the US premiere of Attempts On Her Life (SoHo Rep); The Belle's Stratagem (Prospect Theater); Phoenician Women (Synapse Productions) and The Civilians' Canard, Canard, Goose? (HERE). Regional highlights: 9 Parts of Desire (Actors Theater of Louisville); The Civilians' This Beautiful City (Studio Theater - Helen Hayes Nomination Best Ensemble, Resident Musical); The Civilians' Paris Commune (La Jolla Playhouse), Diary of A Young Girl - a solo presented by the Carr Foundation at the dedication of the Anne Frank Center for Human Rights in Boise; the title role in Antigone (American Repertory Theater); Merchant of Venice directed by Andrei Serban (ART); How I Learned to Drive co-starring Debra Winger and Arliss Howard (ART); and two national tours with The Acting Company. Film: the award winning comedy The Brooklyn Heist co-starring Danny Masterson. Aysan trained at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and the ART Institute at Harvard. She is a member of The Civilians and is proud to be a founding member of Theater Mitu.
